We’ve missed God

What a beautiful insight into loving others through loving God.

Susan Irene Fox

We miss God’s unequivocal love and grace

Deciding Fuller, Calvin or Augustine

We miss God’s unequivocal love and grace

Ears closed down tight, we rush to “save,” intervene

“Believe This!” “Vote that!” begins the great schism

There’s black and white, no gray questions in between

Points of view on bread and wine and baptism

Exclusion requires no apology

“Believe This!” “Vote that!” begins the great schism

From Creation time to eschatology

When we could use His Word to build unity

Exclusion requires no apology

We form split tribes instead of community

And spew anger and argue on the Bible

When we could use His Word to build unity

Is it inerrant or perhaps infallible?

And spew anger and argue on the Bible

We miss God’s unequivocal love and grace

We miss God’s unequivocal love and grace

  1. Thank you, Tom. This is all so good. I appreciate you sharing with us. I’ve missed touching base. I’ve had a weird season, mostly of rest, but also of some interior work. I *hope* I’m ready to blog more faithfully again . . . anyway, thank you especially for reaching out to me during my silent times. God bless you!
